Picnic B!tch is a celebration of reclaimed female sexual expression and unapologetic pleasure which juxtaposes the naivety of childhood and the shame that surrounds young women, captured in a picnic setting. It features textile and ceramic pieces for interiors and fashion accessories, culminating in a picnic collection aiming to bring women together and spark conversation. The collection uses the picnic as a lens through which to examine feminine imagery, utilising entities which traditionally have no sexual connotation to question societal taboos surrounding female expression. I make digital creative content for social media, featuring interior design and lifestyle media. Currently, I am a Creator in Residence at Pinterest where I share my passion for textiles and love for interior design with my audience. ‘Susannah Studio’ is a fusion of my digital content spanning Instagram, Tiktok and Pinterest, and I hope to pursue this in the future.
