Glasshouse impressions encapsulates my personal style which has evolved throughout my degree. Influenced by the Bloomsbury Group, Fauvist art and the arts and crafts movement, this collection aims to encompass the playful expression and processes these artists were known for. Using a combination of traditional craft techniques and digital design, my collection embraces imperfections and the painterly hand-crafted style. Inspired by visits to Kew Gardens, I aimed to create an immersive feeling of being amongst nature evoking a sense of wellbeing. During my degree I have found a love for combining hand and digital design for interiors and fashion. I have a strong eye for colour and love to experiment to create uplifting designs. Working to industry live briefs set by Liberty and Joules, I have gained valuable experience, as well as winning a placement in the Joules live brief completed in my final year. I am now looking forward to opportunities of working professionally in design.
