My interest in graphic design was sparked without me realising - it was from collecting skateboard magazines that I began to take an interest in photography, drawing and eventually graphic design. I feel like in my final year I have found my feet and gained a strong understanding of who I am as a designer. Currently I really enjoy working on layouts, particularly for editorial and print, and the relationship with type and image. Another aspect I really like about graphic design is the power it has to create community, using design to improve an area so that it can be enjoyed better the community. Sport is another big passion of mine, whether it football, basketball or skateboarding I’ve tried to involve it in my work. I find these are often my stronger projects and I aim to work in the sport design industry in the future. I also want to continue to learn, I feel like there’s so much out there now, and I’m looking forward to figuring it all out.
