Hello, my name is Lucy Waldron, I am a contemporary designer & maker who explores personal and collective narratives through textiles. I am a conceptual artist who is fascinated by the hidden stories in all our lives. My work is very versatile and stems from my own personal connection with materials curating designs that are not just tailor made but also adaptable for a commercial setting. The concept of slow craft has always been a driving force behind my designs. A passion of mine is to find beauty in the process of ageing by using repurposed fabrics in my design process. The core theme of my work is colour, texture, and surface, which is strongly influenced by the Natural Elements. After graduation I wish to pursue a career in interior design creating design spaces that are timeless, therapeutic, and meaningful.
