Inspired by empowering perfect imperfections, Beneath the Surface aims to showcase beauty is everywhere and being unique should be celebrated not hidden. Opening up and using what I have found to be my own imperfections has enabled me to gain a deeper connection to this project and push my experiments with visual research. As a designer specialising in print, I am passionate about mark making and experimenting with different techniques to create unique, individual marks. I love exploring and focusing on textures within design which has pushed me to combine silicone within my fabrics in this project. Bringing a personal element to my designs I believe is fundamental and allows my design personality to come through. During my degree, I have worked on a brief by ROMO Black Edition and entered into The Bradford textile company competition achieving 2nd prize.
