Over the past three years I have studied Textile Design has a whole however my specialism is Fashion Knitwear and Knitted Textiles. Throughout this course there has been many different opportunities, one of my favourites was the NEXT live brief in Year 2, this allowed me to create samples and design a final collection for A/W 2021 within this I also investigated target markets and trend forecasting. Fast forward to the end on Year 2 I was able to choose Slow Making as a pathway, this sparked a love for crochet and hand knitting where I was able to learn all different stitches and techniques. I wanted to take this forward into my last year of university and have now created a range of products from crochet and machine knitting. Now I have finished my degree I hope to go onto teaching textiles for secondary school so I can carry on sharing my passion for fashion and textiles.
