I specialise in embroidery with elements of weave and print. For my final year project I have been taken inspiration from old English countryside heritage with a strong emphasis on the madness, extravagance and eccentricity that can be found attached to this aesthetic. I photographed a beautiful stately home in the picturesque countryside of Herefordshire, where the owners endless years of of collecting eclectic objects was proudly displayed in every room. Each light fitting, ash tray and door handle has a suitably inspirational and flamboyant story attached to it. My aim was to consider how the traditional surrounds of the countryside can be highly contrasting to the manor's eccentric qualities.
