Dua Alfarsi
I’m Dua Alfarsi from Oman. I’m a painter who likes to depict the aesthetics of woman’s lives in my family with the Arap-Persian folklore and traditions to express my identity. In 2019, I have completed foundation degree in Fine Art at Nottingham Kaplan International College with achievement portfolio and artwork on degree show entitled Nottingham and me. In 2020, during the conditions of Corona epidemic, I was able to participate in an online show with a group of NTU first-year students entitled Lucidity. In 2021, we worked as a group for the Public Project at One Thoresby street gallery on a show entitled Get Involved, which was praised by the visitors and tutors. In 2022, I was accepted into the creative placement program at Backlit gallery. we worked as a group to install a collection of photos and sketches in the (EDL)equality, diversity, inclusion hub. I’m currently a final year BA Fine Art student at Nottingham Trent University.
