Christine Joy Tanzo is a 23-year-old Fashion designer born and raised in the Philippines. Her passion for fashion started ever since she could draw which led her to take up a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design at the University of San Carlos. As a fresh graduate, Christine immediately embarked on being a freelance fashion designer and illustrator. This allowed her to showcase her skills in design development, CAD, garment construction, etc. Christine briefly became a style consultant at ATE by Tatah pre-pandemic. While stuck in lockdown, she worked on her next move—to start her own brand. MUGNA, which means “create” in Christine’s native language, is a one-woman brand designed for the Filipina women. She started with a 15-piece collection that sold out in less than an hour from its online launch. The success fueled Christine’s drive to grow her brand as she gained clients all over Philippines which inspired her to take up a master’s degree in Fashion Design in the UK.
