The textures and details that I can create through embroidery has driven me to push my designs further and to explored and develop skills within a variety of techniques. The inspirations I gain from nature and visiting exhibitions, particularly from the Fashion & Textile museum, helps influence me to create my bold, vibrant and heavily detailed textiles. My current project, Hot Summer Nights, has been my favourite and most rewarding project as it has gained me confident skills in digital embroidery and beading, as well as designing for a new market. The combined elements of elegant and provocative has created a truly exquisite and eye-catching collection. I enjoy designing textiles that makes the wearer feel empowered, beautiful and most importantly desirable, with this in mind my ambitions for after university are designing for a high end lingerie company, as well as embroidery for costume design, inspired by the extravagant costume designs in series such The Great and Bridgerton.
