Creating and producing designs that make people smile has always been key to my practice. This is clear in my final major project named ‘young at heart’ that was strongly influenced by my own childhood. Reminiscing to one’s childhood can become a safe like space where creativity and play was encouraged, these are two elements I believe are vital to my journey in fashion. My best skills include concept research and design development as I enjoy building the initial foundations upon which a collection can be designed and produced. Print has been very important in all my work throughout my time at university with each project featuring at least one. My favourite aesthetic can simply be described as more is more with bold, eye-catching prints with the capacity to mix and match with others.
