Photography has always been a passion of mine since I was a young child, and I have always been fascinated with capturing beautiful moments and creating my own pieces of art. I like how photography can be used to send a message, and I use mine to spread awareness of mental health in society. There are many different negative stereotypes towards mental health in society and in the visual industry but to me, mental health is personal and quiet, and everyone deals with it in their own way. My latest piece of work focuses on the home, and how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the way we feel in a place that should be our sanctuary. My images aim to bring a comfort and familiar feeling to the observers, allowing them to place their own memories of their home into my work. The quietness and silence expressed by my photographs reveals the isolation that can occur and investigate how different interiors of a building can act as a shell for memories.
