Olivia Brill
I am Olivia Brill, specialising in woven design for health and wellbeing. My practice aims to create meaning and encourage engagement through exploration in materials and playfulness. Creating sensory learning for the benefit of children and specifically autistic children. Using sensory qualities and approaches into good health and wellbeing, I aim to design textiles and products that are playful and positive which is useful for early learning development. By taking influence from my interests, surroundings and travel, my practice is both broad and current, as well as personal and supportive. I love telling a unique story and creating a feeling or response that can be calming and relevant to children and adults. Forming a connection between the person and the product gives meaning to the materials I make. This is important to me as I want to teach and help others to be creative in the future.
