I’m Grace Edu; a recent graduate of the course Filmmaking at NTU. In 3 words I would describe myself as: innovative, confident, loving. I have always been fascinated with creating narratives and showcasing them to people. I started off in acting at the age of 14, this introduced me to the filmmaking process. It developed my understanding of how the process done behind the camera, enhances the action in front of the camera, to make a seamless production. I love telling the stories of the underrepresented people in our society and discussing some of my own revelations, fears and hopes in my films. My grad film ‘For Worse’ reflects my fears and trepidation of my future marriage and I feel like a lot of young people could relate to my worries. My goal is to be a powerhouse in filmmaking and be an example to young black female creatives.
