Studying Design for Film and Television has enabled me to explore a variety of roles commonly found within an Art Department, and challenged me creatively to produce the best work I can. Within the course I enjoyed the chance to create graphic props, from a early 16th century nautical map to a 19th century American passport, and learning new skills and pieces of information along the way (like how early passports used a description of a persons appearance in place of a photograph!). In addition, I have gained valuable industry skills such as draughting and model-making both of which entail a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. As a result, I am keen to involve myself with different productions and undertake a position in the Art Department. My work experience includes Silent Witness series 23 and Rumour Film - the Stop-motion animation short film.
