Coming from Cyprus to the UK for my BA and MA degrees in Fashion Knitwear Design, has been a very eye-opening experience for me. When it comes to opportunities, I am one to take as many as possible. With that being said, I initially applied for the Fashion course but was offered the Knitwear one and took the chance to explore that area within fashion that was not in my initial plans. All three years of my BA degree have been equally significant to my social and professional development as they all have different attributes to offer. My design aesthetic has shifted through the years massively and I am now at a place where I am confident with my ‘handwriting’ as a knitwear designer. I am now planning to complete my MA degree and focus on building a sustainable brand along with my twin sister.
