Charlotte Innes
For my final major project, I chose the theme of timelessness. With the rise of waste in fast fashion today it is important to have that one investment piece that can last a lifetime. I have taken inspiration from architecture, sculptures and ceramics throughout my designs. I like the idea of fashion becoming art to create new innovative shapes. I'm also interested in creating details through fabric alone. During this project, I have utilised my pattern cutting skills using Lectra as a digital source to create my patterns as well as traditional techniques such as draping on the stand. I hope to pursue a career in luxury fashion as a creative pattern cutter expanding my knowledge in the fashion industry and building on the skills I’ve gained through my MA in Creative Pattern Cutting and my BA degree in Costume Design.
