Having had a love for woven potentials since the beginning of my BA degree at NTU, my MA work explores the notion of interchangeable textiles. With the intention to reduce consumption rates, I aimed to create multi-functioning fabrics, that can perform more than what they were first woven as. This was to challenge the permanence of woven cloth and explore how far I could push structures and their capabilities. I am interested in experimental forms and their relationship to the body, constantly striving towards responsible innovation. My love for colour is something that is integral to my work, and I have sought to address issues of sustainability in ways that express my design identity, rather than adopting a minimalist approach. I was lucky enough to be awarded a scholarship from the Worshipful Company of Weavers to help with my practice, which has allowed me to experiment freely without restriction.
